I'm a technology enthusiast with skills
to get stuff done and have fun doing it:
I was born and raised in New York City (which means I'm more direct and talk faster than I often realize). Growing up, I was one of the first families in my relatively low-income community to have a computer and have been hooked ever since.
Today, I still live in New York. When not at work, you can find me traveling with my husband, training in Muay Thai or staring at my iPhone. I should also mention I maintain a blog where I write about product management and more. Finally, I also have big curly hair and wear glasses which makes me really easy to find at large conferences.
I went to New York University and graduated with honors (cum laude).
I received a degree in Computer Science but managed round out my studies with courses in the arts including animation, music performance and photography.
When it comes to developer skills, I'm familiar with the following as I've worked full-stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including popular libraries like jQuery, etc), PHP (including popular frameworks like Cake), Perl, Ruby on Rails, JSP, SQL, mySQL, XML and Unix.
I've also used various software including, but not limited to, the following: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Analytics (fka Omniture SiteCatalyst), Balsamiq Mockups, CA Technologies Agile Central (fka Rally), Atlassian JIRA, HipChat and Confluence, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro.
